Each year YOBC arranges masterclasses for our students with outstanding artists of local, national, and international renown. Many of the masterclasses are also open to the public. Past masterclasses have been taught by David Kim, Philadelphia Orchestra Concert Master; students from Curtis Institute of Music; Jeffrey Solow, Temple University; Jennifer Montone, Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Horn; Jeff Baumeister, BCCC; Gary Feinberg, TCNJ; Dr. Quincy Hilliard, Louisiana State University; Emily Threinen, Temple University; Grammy-award winning fiddler, Mark O’Connor; composer & performer, Chris Brubeck; urban pop duo Flutronix; and more.
YOBC students are invited to apply to perform at our masterclasses.

Who can attend?
Enrollment is opened to All YOBC students, parents of YOBC students who are performing in the masterclass, students of the Settlement Music School and the Grand School of Music, area instrumental music students and instrumental music teachers.
We try to open our masterclasses to as many as possible. Seating is limited. Registration is required to attend.
