Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church is offering an opportunity for YOBC Advanced Division I students & alumni to perform as guest soloists during Sunday services. Soloists will play two short solos, for both the 8:15 AM and the 11:00 AM services.

Music:
|
2 solos, 2-4 minutes each (one for the anthem and one for the offertory). Selected music may be sacred, classical or light jazz. Solos may be unaccompanied or accompanied. An accompanist will be provided if needed. Music for the accompanist must be scanned and submitted by email no later than 3 weeks prior to your performance. Please note that rehearsal/warm-up time will be very limited on the morning of the performance. Choose music accordingly.
Musicians may also choose to play along with the hymns during the service.

Arrival:

Plan to arrive at the church by 7:45 am. There are two entrances to the church. Please use the York Road entrance. Musicians should report to the Wilgus Auditorium (main auditorium)

Music stands are provided. Musicians will be assigned a mentor who will meet you and let you know when to play during the services.

Once you have been assigned a performance date, you must email a short bio and picture of yourself.

Select music for your performance. It does not need to be difficult, but must be thoroughly prepared. YOBC students are expected to consult with their private teachers on the selection and preparation of their music.

Submit music for the accompanist no later than 3 weeks prior to your performance.
